BeFriend iIn Bellshill Funding
| The Big Lottery Fund has awarded BeFriend in Bellshill funding, which secures it's future for the next 5 years. This, along with previously promised funding from the Church of Scotland Parish Development Fund, should be seen by everyone as a huge recognition of the work being done by all our vollunteers.
We initially recieved lottery "Pilot Funding" in 2006 to see whether there was a need for befriending locally, and whether we could put together a feasible project. The information which we have fed back to The Big Lottery Fund proves a resounding YES!! on both counts. At the moment, we are almost at the maximum size we can be in our present circumstances. However, with our continued funding we will find "Smart" ways of increasing slightly the size of BeFriend in Bellshill, and lift a few more people out of loneliness. |
