Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteering has always been about helping other people. But do you realise how much it can help you? If you are aged 15+ we can offer you a rewarding experience within a friendly and supportive environment. Volunteering in our Neighbourhood Centre can help you to:

  • build confidence
  • make new friends
  • make a difference to your community
  • improve your CV and your chances of getting the job you want
  • gain new skills

You don't need any experience as training is provided. We can reimburse your travel and lunch expenses and volunteering does not affect your entitlement to benefits.

We have a variety of volunteering opportunities available (Administration, Arts, Café, Childcare, Elderly Day Care, Food Co-op, IT, Board of Directors). If you are aged 16-25 we can help you with the Millennium Volunteers Award which is nationally recognised by businesses and higher education institutions. If you are currently in further education we can offer you the chance to complete a specific task on our behalf which would fit in with your studies and bring a 'real time' scenario to classroom discussions.
